Today is Sachin’s first day in college. His parents passed away in an accident, and his uncle raised him. Sachin is very smart, so he got scholarships that covered most of his study expenses.
When Sachin arrived at college, he noticed that everyone was more interested in having fun. No one seemed to care about studying. Everyone showed off their expensive clothes, bikes, and cars; it felt like a different world.
Sachin tried to avoid this and went to his class, but even there, everyone was having fun. He was excited about his new books and sat down to read. Just then, a boy named Mohit came up to him.
Mohit asked why Sachin was studying and encouraged him to join the fun. When Sachin didn’t answer, Mohit got angry and threw Sachin’s book outside. Sachin quietly picked up his book and sat under a tree to read.
This made Mohit and his friends mad, and they decided to teach Sachin a lesson. They took his book and started tossing it around.
Just then, a strong-looking senior named Amar came running over and asked why they were bothering Sachin. Feeling scared, Mohit and his friends left quietly. Amar gave Sachin his book back.
Amar told Sachin not to worry and introduced himself as a friend who would help if anyone bothered him again. Sachin thanked Amar and said he was there to study, but the college environment didn’t seem to focus on studies.
Amar explained that the first few days are typically like this, and serious study would start after two weeks when the admissions complete. Amar advised Sachin to enjoy other things too, but Sachin said he couldn’t because he had responsibilities and had to succeed soon.
Amar was impressed by Sachin’s dedication and promised to support him as a friend.
In the evening, when Sachin returned home, his uncle asked about the first day at college while his aunt sarcastically commented on how college is just for fun and wasting money. Sachin didn’t mind and assured them he spent the day studying. His uncle defended him against the aunt’s remarks.
Sachin went to his room and cried, missing his parents and wishing they were alive.
The next day, Sachin sat under the same tree, not in the mood to study. Amar joined him. Learning about Sachin’s situation, Amar offered him to stay at his hostel.
Sachin declined, explaining that he wanted to repay his uncle for taking care of him since his parents passed away.
Amar then suggested another solution: to teach at a local institute. Sachin followed this advice, started teaching in the evenings, earned some money, and could still focus on his studies.
One cold night, while returning home from the coaching center, Sachin was hit by a speeding car. He was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, including a broken leg. Amar and his friends took good care of him at the hospital.
When Sachin recovered, Amar convinced him to stay in the hostel, helping him continue his education and teaching job.
Time passed, Sachin finished his studies with Amar’s support. He got a job, courtesy of Amar, who was already working in a company.
One day, Sachin learned his uncle was very sick. Sachin offered to take him to the hospital. However, the doctors couldn’t help his uncle and advised him about limited time left. Sachin’s uncle feared leaving his wife alone without any kids.
Sachin reassured his uncle that he would take care of his aunt as his own mother. He kept his promise and not only completed his uncle’s last rites but continued to support and live with his aunt as his mother.
Sachin’s life changed wonderfully because of Amar, who was not just a friend but an elder brother. Such friendships that help overcome life’s challenges are truly a blessing.
Moral of the Story:
The moral of this story is that true friendship and kindness can help overcome life’s challenges. Just like Amar helped Sachin through tough times, a true friend is someone who stands by you and supports you when you need it the most. Additionally, it teaches the value of hard work and determination. Despite facing difficulties, Sachin remains focused on his goals and responsibilities, showing that perseverance can lead to success.
