Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Max who was full of energy and loved to play and make mischief. One evening, he wore his favorite wolf suit and ran around the house, jumping on furniture, knocking things over, and causing trouble.

His mother was very angry and called him a wild thing. Max, being playful and stubborn, shouted back, “I’ll eat you up!”
As a punishment, his mother sent him to bed without dinner. Feeling upset but still defiant, Max lay in his room, staring at the walls. Then something magical began to happen. A forest started growing right inside his room. The trees stretched tall, vines curled from the ceiling, and the walls disappeared into a lush jungle. Suddenly, an ocean appeared, and a private boat waited just for him. Without hesitation, Max climbed in and set sail, traveling through night and day, past weeks, and almost over a whole year, until he reached a mysterious land.

This was the land where the Wild Things are. Gigantic creatures with glowing yellow eyes, sharp claws, and terrifying roars surrounded him. They gnashed their teeth, rolled their huge eyes, and showed their terrible claws to scare him. But Max was not afraid. He stood tall, staring at them without blinking. The Wild Things were amazed. They had never seen anyone so fearless. They bowed before Max and called him the most wild thing of all. They made him their king, and Max ruled over them with pride.
As king, Max declared, “Let the wild rumpus start!” The Wild Things howled, danced, and played. They ran through the jungle, climbed trees, and stomped through the mud. It was the most fun Max had ever had. But after a while, he began to feel lonely. He missed home. He missed being where someone loved him the most. Then, from far away, he smelled something delicious. It reminded him of home, of warmth, of love.
Max decided it was time to leave. The Wild Things begged him to stay. “Oh, please don’t go! We love you so much, we’ll eat you up!” they cried. But Max only smiled and shook his head. He stepped into his boat and waved goodbye as he sailed away from the land where the Wild Things are.

Through night and day, through weeks, and almost over a year, he traveled back home. Finally, he reached his own room, where everything was just as he had left it. And waiting for him on the table was his supper. It was still hot.
Moral: Family and love are more important than anything.
