The snow just made the woods more beautiful. After all, it was Christmas all the way.

2. The Gold Filled Stockings

One night, the daughters washed their stockings and hung them over the fireplace to dry.

That night, Saint Nicholas stopped by the nobleman’s house.

He noticed the daughters’ stockings. He was profoundly moved. So, he took three bags of gold from his pocket and threw them one by one down the chimney whereupon they landed in the stockings.

The next morning, when the daughters awoke, they found their stockings filled with gold.

In time, the man found rich grooms for them. As for him, he lived a happy and healthy life.

3. The Helper

4. God Sends Help

She was surprised to see the parrot, as she knew that it belonged to her neighbour.

The woman thought they must be looking for it. Thus, she took the parrot back to its owner.

The owners were very happy to have their parrot back. They were overwhelmed by the poor woman’s honesty.

They asked her to be their children’s nanny. In return, they gave her a room to stay and paid her handsomely. The woman was very happy.
